Training and development and talent management
In addition to filling specialised and management positions internally, we offer potential employees and managers interesting entry-level and career opportunities with a diverse range of jobs.
Starting as an apprentice. Many of Implenia’s employees started out as apprentices. Apprenticeships are thus of great importance. Around 200 young employees complete an apprenticeship at Implenia on a regular basis, be it in a technical/commercial area, for example, as construction machine mechanic, builder, foundation engineer, heating engineer, ventilation engineer, plumbing engineer, mason, mechanic, carpenter, road builder, transport route builder or joiner. By training a new generation of staff, Implenia is not only investing in the future, it is also accepting an important social responsibility.
Modular training and development. Employee development is based on a modularly structured training and development programme. There are different training modules available depending on the area of responsibility. Different knowledge is needed, for example, for tunnel construction than for project development or residential construction. Since 2011, we have been expanding our existing training and development programme with additional modules. We have added, for instance, a career programme for construction cost planners.
Multi-level management training. To ensure a uniform management culture, management training is carried out independently of organisational units and is based on a three-level programme. The first level (management training) is geared to employees who assume a management function for the first time. The second (middle management training) and third (senior management) levels are higher-level programmes for those who already have management responsibility. This management training focuses both on management knowledge as well as social skills involving behaviour, motivation and communication.
